Pacific Northwest Road Trip: Day 14 & 15

We’re staying close to home these next two days.  My sister and I went to a local Farmer’s Market being held in a city park.  It was a really nice park with a splash pad for the kids, grassy lawn to set up chairs and blankets.  There were a lot of vendors too, we got some pastries and zucchinis. It was really got today so we didn’t hang out for too long. Then we headed to the local grocery store, Haggen’s.  It was very nice inside with a great selection of prepared food as well as the typical grocery items. I picked up a prepared pint of tabbouleh that was superb. Wish they had this grocery chain in Michigan.

The following day sister’s husband, who is a Marine Corps veteran (Oorah!), took us to the shooting range.  The four of us had a great time shooting a few different caliber handguns, I think us ladies did really well.

There is a magnificent view of Mount Rainier on the main road leading up to my sister’s neighborhood! I would never get tired of seeing this view if I lived here. We also spent time taking Poppy on walks in her neighborhood, which has miles of green space and trails that run right behind the homes.

Poppy also got a bath at a nearby self-serve dog wash. She wasn’t a fan, but it was nice to give her a bath and not dirty up my sister’s bathroom! I might have to investigate this option when I get home. It was nice to spend some downtime just relaxing, chatting and catching up on life.

Tomorrow is going to be a BIG day!
