Florida garden walk…

Wanting to spend as much time as possible in the sunny warm weather while here in Florida I decided to go for a walk around my uncle’s retirement community.

There are 3 golf courses here nestled between the residences, each with a beautiful fountain in a water feature.

As I walked along the the path that follows the edge of one of the golf courses I was delighted to find a nature trail! I decided to follow that for awhile and was rewarded with some wonderful display of plants and flowers.

Bottlebrush Tree

This is my favorite plant that I came across during my walk. The color is so vibrant and as I stood underneath this tree I heard a continuous buzzing, looking up I could see numerous bees busily foraging from blossom to blossom.

I don’t know what the above flowers are called but they were so pretty and abundant.

I love the shape of these trees!

My walk consisted of 1.5 miles & lasted about 45 minutes. It felt so good to be outside, in the sunshine. Feeling the heat on my skin, hearing the birds singing and seeing green grass and beautiful plants!

Hopefully the Michigan spring isn’t too far behind.
