I’ve never really celebrated St. Patrick’s Day as a holiday but the family here in Florida have a party every year.
The day started with a concert at a local Methodist church featuring Cahal Dunne. He was born in Cork City Ireland, immigrated to the United States in 1983 and now lives in Pittsburgh Pennsylvania. He sings and performs traditional Irish songs on the piano as well as mainstream songs and Broadway tunes. He had a great personality and established a warm and sincere rapport with the audience. He definitely has not lost his Irish charm. I really enjoyed his concert & my mom bought 3 of his CD’s.
After the concert it was off to my cousins house for an Irish meal of corned beef, cabbage, red potatoes, and carrots. It was a good day.
