I’ve always had a fascination with ancestry and family trees. I’ve love watching those shows that research people’s ancestors and the interesting stories that are uncovered about their past.
Michael has some Irish ancestry so we thought it would be cool to have his DNA tested before we go on our trip to see exactly what his ancestral genetic make up might be; there was a $10 discount for a 2nd test so I’ve ordered a test myself too!
I’m expecting to be heavy on the German ancestry with surnames of Ulrich, Statzer & Hockstadt. There is also quiet a bit English–maybe some French. There’s no telling what shows up in Michael’s lineage…his family is quite the melting pot. It will be quite exciting to see what the DNA reveals!
