Every year on the last Saturday in August music lovers all over the world gather on their respective “porches” to play music! Los Angeles based artist Brian Mallman came up with the idea and began to promote it in 2013 and it caught on like wildfire. It doesn’t matter if you’re a beginner or professional…or somewhere in between…grab your instrument of choice and play some music on your porch. This year my husband and I were able to join my brother who is an avid participant. He does a great job setting up his beautiful porch and we jammed to about 17 or more songs. What a great way to kick off our retirement! It was so much fun! If you have never participated before, make plans to join those from over 70 countries and 700 cities next year!
